All School Wide Rules apply in classroom
Respect others and their property
Follow Directions the first Time
Be Prepared for class
Have Appropriate Behavior in classroom at all times
Do Not bring Food or Drink into biology lab
Dress Appropriately for biology laboratories
Ask Questions if you don’t understand the material
Consequences
Warning: verbal or written
Conference with teacher & Deduction of participation points
Removal from class & Deduction of more participation points
Sent to office, Conference with parents & possible Code of Conduct issued
**Severe Violations will be sent to office immediately
Hall & Bathroom Pass
You must ask for the appropriate pass in order to leave the classroom.
Passes will be issued for justified requests only.
Attendance
You must be in your seat when the bell rings.
You must have a pass if you are late to class, otherwise you will be marked tardy
Grading Procedure
Assignments/lab work/projects are due at the beginning of the class unless
noted otherwise.
Daily Assignments will be accepted for full credit until chapter test of that unit
Labs & Projects grade will be deducted 10% for every day late.
Academic Honesty Policy will be enforced
Grading Scale Grade Based on Weighted Scale
93 – 100 = A Exams (Content) – 40%
90 – 92.9 = A- Labs/Projects – 30%
87 – 89.9 = B+ Quizzes – 20 %
83 – 86.9 = B Homework – 7%
80 – 82.9 = B- Participation – 3%
77 – 79.9 = C+
73 – 76.9 = C
70 – 72.9 = C- Materials Needed
67 – 69.9 = D+ Textbook (covered)
63 – 66.9 = D Notebook or loose paper
60 – 62.9 = D- Pencil & Pen (not red)
60 & below = F Folder or 3 –Ring Binder
